Scythians in Munich	January 3rd
You have until January 20th to view this exhibition on the Scythian culture. When looking at many of these artifacts - some of them dating back to the 8th century BC - one could easly mistake them for present-day objects. The organic style, the naturalistic depictions of men and animals appear quite modern. This exhibition was on display in Berlin in the summer. In comparison to Munich, the presentation there seemed to support the modern 'feel' of the items on display. The rooms there were laid out in white and the graphic design of all printed matter seemed a bit more up-to-date. In Munich, the items are shown in a more conservative (conventional) environment, dominated by dark colors and scarce lighting. It is interesting to see how the appearance of the same items changes with different surroundings. Scythians in Berlin    Scythians in Munich
