To celebrate one of the most popular sneakers today, the Air Force 1, Nike has launched a series of events and parties, opened exhibitions and special retail locations in almost every major city on the globe. The biggest project has just launched - the Air Force 1 "1THOLOGY" website.
This site is an interactive documentary, a search engine, a community, a vast digital compendium - for the Nike Air Force 1.
In an effort to archive every Air Force 1 ever produced, Nike dug deep into the archives and asked collectors worldwide to send in their gems to be photographed and uploaded into the 1thology database. Of the 2000+ colorways and make-ups, a great number is already available complete with photos and information. For all the missing AF 1s, users have the opportunity to contribute their own Air Force 1 story; shoes can be submitted; texts can be fed into blogs; favourite models can be voted on...
