Klaxons - Myths Of The Near Future
London, UK
New Rave pioneers Klaxons come forth with a relentless four to the floor debut album, which will make smiley faces grin from ear to ear!

Meeting in 2005, the trio decided to remake old 'Rave' tunes from the early 90s, by using real instruments, performing them live at local indie nights in London. In early 2006 'Klaxons', as they were now called released 'Gravity's Rainbow' on Merok Records, with a remake of rave classic 'Kicks Like A Mule' on the b-side.

Acts such as 'Shitdisco', 'Simian Mobile Disco', and Datarock were also flying the fluorescent New Rave flag, but it was late in 2006 that the scene took off, with raucous parties taking place all over the UK. Klaxons took the biggest leap forward, culminating in the release of 'Myths Of The Near Future' in February 2007.

For New Rave virgins, Klaxons are a fantastic place to start your trip into the future of dance music.

Rave On!
