Nike Beijing 2008   Beinghunted.com
Beijing: May 11th - 13th
Nike has been present in China since very early in the company's history. While the country has always played an important role as a manufacturing location, it has also evolved to become one Nike's biggest retail markets, in recent years.

In anticipation of the upcoming Summer Olympics in Beijing, Nike took the occasion to introduce - to the Chinese and all the rest of the world - four new projects that reflect the key elements of the company's continued success:

* a long history of innovation
* support of and engagement with athletes
* progressive design
* lifestyle and sports-culture

For three days Nike had invited members of the press as well as friends & family to Beijing for an all-inclusive experience of the city as well as the various Nike events and showcases. On the following pages you will find a photo-documentary of this trip.

We are all looking forward to seeing the finished Beijing hosting the 2008 Summer Olympics.

House of Innovation
Located in the 798 art district, Nike's House of Innovation provides for an in-depth look at 100 of the company's groundbreaking advances in design, materials, construction, and production.

China Federations Uniforms
At China’s famed Tai Miao, the Ancestral Temple east of the Forbidden City, Nike and 22 Chinese Federations unveiled their uniform collections. The designs fuse traditional Chinese designs with innovations, a result of the close collaboration with the athletes themselves.

Nike Sportswear Launch
Nike launched its sportswear product line at an exhibition at the Cable 8 Studio in the Chaoyang District. The new line is rooted in the company’s passion for sport while at the same time remixing and improving iconic designs with new technologies.

Nike 6.0 / BMX
"Ligthing Bolts" was the title for a one-day-only exhibition of customized BMX number plates. Besides the objects themselves, Nike had also set up obstacles for a live demo by Mike Spinner, Maxime Charveron, and Nigel Sylvester.
