Dawn patrol. The first rays of light filtering through my windows and the gray Berlin sky make me realize that many hours have passed. Although I have not slept, a new day begins.

When asked if I could write an introduction to this interview with Tet the first thing I did was agree without hesitation. The second thing was to go to my bookshelf and retrieve all of the issues I have of Tet's Philosophy 'Zine. Not for the first time I find myself completely absorbed and enthralled by the words and ideas I find within the square bound A5 pages. Although there are so many other things I should be doing, I end up re-reading all of them cover to cover.

Someone once said that art is fuel for the soul. Tet's work always has this effect on me. Like some kind of custom part on one of his bikes, I feel that I might run better with a kind of 'Ideas of Tetsu Supercharger' strapped to the back of my head.

Whenever I come across something Tet has made or, occasionally, the man himself, I feel fortunate and refreshed. Perhaps his work has the same effect on you.
