James Lavelle - Meltdown Festival and Mo Wax 21st Exhibition - Southbank, London.

Combining an exhibition of Mo Wax Art and Oddities on it's 21st Birthday, with James Lavelle's Meltdown Festival at The Royal Festival Hall was quite a tall order - gladly carried off with aplomb by all involved.
After spending the afternoon in a cluttered warehouse off the Kings Road over 12 months ago, to view the final exhibition of Art, Music, Video and Clothing was an impressive and a fascinating insight into a group of trailblazing individuals.
On arrival at the show it was great to view such important pioneers from the scene, in Michael Kopelman (Gimme 5 / Stussy), Fraser Cook (Nike), and Trevor Jackson (The Underdog), and of course Lavelle too. Highlights of the show were the montages of pictures from artists on and affiliated with Mo Wax, plus the prototype vinyl figures, Futura and 3D originals - the list was endless.
Take a look through the pictures, then reserve your copy of 'Mo'Wax Urban Archaeology: 21 Years of Mo'Wax Recordings' from Rizzoli Books, which is quite the compendium of cool.
