Radio City Music Hall Radio City Music Hall was the venue for an evening of sports and entertainment of the highest caliber. As part of Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall lies in the center of New York City. At its opening in 1932 it was the world's biggest movie theater and since then has hosted many memorable shows and events - such as the MTV Video Music Awards. On August 12th the launch of the first World Basketball Festival was celebrated at Radio City Music Hall with a showcase of the US national basketball team as well as live performance by Jay-Z. There is not really that much to say about this event: the location - legendary, the athletic performance - world-class, Jay-Z's live set - incredible... a worthy kick off for the following days that would celebrate the sport of basketball!
